The Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation is the world’s leading institution for the preservation and dissemination of the invaluable cultural heritage of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and brings the many facets of this genius to the world. A central part of this is the Mozart Week, which has been organized every year since 1956 around Mozart’s birthday on 27 January. In addition, various concert formats such as master and sofa concerts, »pure classical music«, after-work events, or the »organ for lunch« series are held throughout the year. In the development of the visual identity of the »concert season«, we used the central element of the staves to create abstract, moving, transforming, and deforming lines that allude to the emotional effect: »music moves«. The abstract and morphing lines and the clear graphic representation also make the different designs reminiscent of instruments, from the violin to the piano to the newly intoned organ in the Great Hall of the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation.
