We collaborated with the art history museum in Vienna to allow visitors to explore this exceptional object in a new and different way. Using a technology called photogrammetry, the art and science of extracting 3D information from photographs, we created an interactive three dimensional replica of the Imperial Crown.
The experience was made accessible through a touch screen display that was put up next to the physical object. It allowed visitors not only to learn more about the crowns historical background, it also enabled them to explore the materials and techniques used through high resolution imagery.
